Toyota Prius Vehicles have experienced a considerable decrease in their selling price recently. This model has gone through a strong reduction in its selling price.
The selling price for Toyota Prius cars has had a strong depreciation during the last 6 months we have studied. The average price for March is KSh 2,314,188. During April there was a slight reduction in the selling prices dropping till KSh 2,126,750. The following two months the selling price went through a strong reduction of -32 % compared to the previous two months studied. In the last two, the price has gone through a -5 % devaluation compared to the previous average values going down from KSh 1,869,450.25 to KSh 1,771,177 during July and August.
The average price for Toyota Prius has had a strong rise in recent years. Between 2009 and 2015, the average price is KSh 1,091,070.75. There was a significant inflation of the average price in 2009 (KSh 633,333) moving up till (KSh 1,466,120)in 2015. During the next two years (2016, 2017) the price for the aforementioned model has gone up strongly a 57 %. During the last two years, prices in the car industry have gone up 9 % compared to the average values for the previous 4 years. This conclusion was reached from studying the prices for the the preceding four years in previous sample (KSh 1,883,671.25) and the the last two years that were studied (2018, 2019) with a price of KSh 2,049,309.
The graph that displays the price for Toyota Prius cars according to their mileage shows that those cars within a mileage range of "more than 200,000" are the ones with the lowest price. They are 70 % more affordable than the average price (KSh 2,188,466). Next with a price of KSh 881,256 and a mileage range of "100,000 - 200,000" we would see the following vehicles. The mileage range for the most affordable cars is "25,000 - 50,000". It is 21% less expensive than the average market value followed by those cars with a mileage of "10,000 - 25,000" priced at KSh 1,632,849.
The graph showing the average price for the fuel type for Toyota Prius cars points out to "Hybrid" as being the cheapest fuel type. It is 56 % less expensive than the average market price (KSh 2,188,466) followed by "Petrol" priced at KSh 989,687. On average the cheapest type of fuel is "Petrol". It´s price is 55 % more affordable than the average market value followed by "Hybrid" with a price of KSh 970,214.
